IRVING, Texas -- Marissa Steen has been named the Conference USA Female Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league office Wednesday.

Steen fired scores of 73-70 at the UAB Fall Beach Blast en route to claiming her second individual title of the season and third of her career. The junior also led the Tigers to their second team title of the year as the squad shot rounds of 292- 300 to best the competition by 21 strokes. Steen has medaled in each of Memphis' last three team victories (USA Lady Jaguar Classic, Bobcat Invitational, and UAB Fall Beach Blast).

Steen earns C-USA honors for the second time this season (Sept. 15) and third time of her career. She finished the fall with an impressive 72.9 scoring average and finished in the top-10 in all five events. The all-time Memphis low for a season scoring average is currently held by Stacey Tate (74.1, '05-06).
