Senior defender Caroline Barrett and junior forward Kylie Hayes were the only two lady tigers to have a shot on goal in the first half, with one a piece.

Early into the second half freshman forward Ashley Berra gave Memphis the lead in the game, 1-0-, with a goal.

"Having only been four days into preseason, I was very pleased. It was a great test for us. We held our own very well," said coach Brooks Monaghan. "I was also pleased with the newcomers, I believe that we will have a greater depth this season and that there's a bright future ahead for us."

Auburn tied the game at 1-1, with a goal from Caitlin King, assisted by Gabi Rivera. With three minutes left in the game, Stephanie Fransoso scored the game winning goal to give Auburn the win.
