Memphis came out of the halftime break with an aggressive attack, scoring two goals in just over one minute. Atkins recorded the first of her two goals on the night at 46:04. Atkins received a pass from Kylie and was credited with the goal after the Blazer keeper missed on a clearance. Davis recorded her fourth assist of the season on the play.
At 47:35, Atkins punched in another goal after her shot hit the crossbar and bounced straight down for the goal. Christabel Oduro was credited with an assist on the play, her fourth of the season.
Kuhar-Pitters collected her single-season record 13th shutout of the season as the Memphis defense had a stout performance, limiting the Blazers to five shots in the match, none on goal.
The Lady Tigers went into halftime scoreless for the eighth time, but Memphis had two distinct opportunities to take a first half lead. Lizzy Simonin fired a free kick from the left side, but the line-drive kick clanked off the post. Later, Oduro found a seam in the Blazer defense and launched a shot that bounced off the crossbar.
Memphis becomes the first team to go unbeaten in the regular season and conference play. Eight different players have scored three or more goals this season. The Lady Tigers have scored 10 goals this season in the first 15 minutes of the second half. Memphis collected two goals in less than two minutes for the third time this season. The Lady Tigers finish 11-0-0 on the road this year and improve to 35-6-3 in road matches and 21-3-3 in road conference matches since 2007. The U of M has scored two or more goals in eight-straight matches, the longest such streak in program history.
Memphis will shift its focus to the 2011 C-USA Women's Soccer Championship. Game time and the Lady Tigers opponent for the tournament, hosted at Mike Rose Soccer Complex, will be announced on Sunday.
