STARKVILLE, Miss. - Memphis women's soccer dropped a 4-3 overtime contest to Mississippi State Soccer Field on Sunday afternoon. Junior Ali Baker led the Lady Tigers with two assists and scored the game-tying goal at 67:39.

Memphis jumped out to an early two-goal lead after Baker found Annika Moller only two minutes into the contest and hooked up with Becca Amrozowicz to push the lead to 2-0 with more than 15 minutes left in the first half.

But Mississippi State frosh Amy Van Zandt put together a hat trick, netting one before the half and two in the second period, to pull the Bulldogs even.

Sophomore keeper Katarina Wicksell had a tough time keeping the Lady Tigers close. Memphis was outshot by a 32-5 margin. Wicksell came up with eight saves for Memphis.

Van Zandt helped the Bulldogs in overtime also, she picked up the game winning assist when she found fellow freshman Jessi Moore 13 minutes into the extra frame.

Originally scheduled for September 14, the game was rescheduled in the wake of terrorist attacks on September 11. With the loss, the Lady Tigers finish the season with a 5-13-1 record.
