MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Heather Trotter of Bolton High School in Memphis, Tenn. signed a national letter of intent with the Lady Tiger soccer team. Trotter is the second Tennessee athlete to sign with the Memphis women's soccer program, becoming the fourth signee of the spring.

Trotter was a four-year letterwinner for Coach Phil Encalade at Bolton High. She played center mid and center back for her team. In 2006 and 2007, Trotter received most valuable player, Best of Preps, All-District, All-Region and All-State accolades.

She plays club for the Fury 90 Premier, coached by Robbie Nicholson. They were runner-up at the state championship. Trotter is a former member of the Tennessee Olympic Development Program.

Heather is the daughter of Bill and Sandy Trotter. She has three siblings Amanda, Eric and Megan.

"The first word that comes to my mind when I think of Heather is competitor. Heather is a little bulldog," said Head Coach Brooks Monaghan. "She's tough as nails and has the ability to come in and compete for a starting role in the back. She is extremely quick, likes to go forward and that is something that we like our backs to do. I think that Heather fits the mold of our team and I really believe that the sky is the limit for her."
