COLUMBIA, Mo. - The University of Memphis women's soccer team will take on the University of Missouri on Sunday at 10 a.m. in a spring exhibition at Walton Stadium.

The game marks the third of the spring for the Lady Tigers who are 2-0 after home victories against Ole Miss and Arkansas State. Memphis has allowed only one goal in two games while averaging four goals per game.

The Mizzou Tigers are 0-1 after losing to the U16 Boys Club Team, 3-1. Missouri outshot the club team 26-7. Playing with a depleted roster due to injuries, the Missouri gave up two early goals but played the final 70 minutes even. Mizzou returns 14 student-athletes from a fall squad that finished the season 9-8-3 and made the Big 12 Conference Tournament.

The U of M is 0-1 in the regular season against Missouri with the only official meeting between the two schools occurring on Aug. 31, 2001.

Memphis is led by Junior Shoko Mikami who has three of the Tigers eight goals in the spring. Six different U of M players have scored goals in the spring, and the Lady Tigers are led in assists by sophomore Caroline Barrett who has three. Freshman Kylie Hayes is second on the team in points behind Mikami with five off a goal and two assists.

After Missouri, Memphis will face Southern Miss and Mississippi State in a spring doubleheader on Saturday, March 25 in Starkville, Miss.
