MEMPHIS - The Memphis Lady Tiger soccer team will return to its spring schedule Saturday as it travels to Oxford, Miss. to scrimmage against UL-Monroe at 4 p.m. and Ole Miss at 7 p.m.

Memphis has had a one month layoff since hosting Vanderbilt and Middle Tennessee on Feb. 24. The Lady Tigers tied Vanderbilt 1-1 but were unable to complete their game against the Middle Tennessee due to rain.

The Lady Tigers will play an eight versus eight match with UL-Monroe. Memphis head coach Brooks Monaghan views it as an opportunity to put his players in a different situation.

"It should be fun," Monaghan said. "Obviously with only eight players on each side, we're not going to play on a full sized field, but I think it'll fun to do something different.

Memphis will be looking for a small measure of revenge against Ole Miss which shutout the Lady Tigers 3-0 in Oxford last fall.

"I guess we've established a small non-conference rivalry with them," Monaghan said. "They have a great program, and that is how I look at it. It's a chance for us to get some kids in situations against good competition."
