MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis women's soccer program finishes the spring schedule on Thursday, April 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Mike Rose Soccer Complex as they take on the Arkansas State Red Wolves.

"We're just excited to play our last game," said head coach Brooks Monaghan. "We had a pretty successful spring. It was different and it is every year with each group of girls, but overall I've been pretty happy with what we have been able to accomplish. We just really want to finish on a high note heading into the summer."

Heading into their final game, the Lady Tigers have racked up a 4-0-2 spring record after playing Ole Miss to a 0-0 tie on Sunday, April 12. The squad lost four seniors following the 2008 C-USA Championship season including Kylie Hayes, Maggie Leone, Kate Murphy and Emiko Schwab.

"It is never easy and always different when you lose some of your key players especially your team captains," said Monaghan. "We have grown a lot as a team because we have given each of our girls an opportunity to prove themselves and several of them have stepped up and really performed well."

The Lady Tigers move to the summer offseason with the 2007 and 2008 C-USA regular season and C-USA Tournament Championships under their belt as they prepare for the 2009 fall season.
