MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis women’s soccer head coach Brooks Monaghan announced Tuesday that Arlington (TN) product Alyxandria Stafford will join the program for the 2014-15 season.

“We are very excited to add Alex, considering we are this late in the process,” Monaghan said. “We feel that Alex is a player that has a lot of potential. Once she is put in our environment day in and day out we are going to see this kid get better and better. Alyx is a player that is versatile. We see her competing to play as an outside forward or outside back. Alex is a player that we look forward to developing over the years to come.”

Stafford is a four-year letter winner for the Arlington High. A Memphis native, Stafford saw time at forward and attacking center-midfielder. On the club level, Stafford played for coach David Skull and the Arlington Futbol Club.
