Scouting Memphis
Memphis enters the 2011 season winners of four-straight C-USA Tournament Championships. How many teams have accomplished such a feat? In NCAA Division I Women's Soccer just 13 programs have claimed four or more consecutive conference championships. Memphis and Boston University of the American East Conference carry the nation's longest active championship streak.

The Lady Tigers return nine starters and 16 letterwinners from the 2010 squad that finished with a 15-4-3 mark. Led by C-USA Defensive Player of the Year, the Memphis defense appears to be the strength of the club as the team readies for the 2011 season.

Nearly half of the roster this season is represented by newcomers with 15 players in their first season of collegiate soccer. With the exception of Kelley Gravlin, a redshirt-freshman, 14 players will see their first minutes of college soccer starting Saturday evening.

Scouting Auburn
Auburn begins the 2011 campaign in hopes of repeating as SEC West Division Champions. Auburn finished the 2010 season with an 11-8-2 record, 5-4-2 in SEC play.

Auburn returns a pair of First Team All-SEC Performers in senior midfielder Katy Frierson and senior defender Julie King. Overall, Auburn returns four of its top five scorers from last year as junior forward Mary Coffed and junior midfielder Ana Cate joined Frierson and King in scoring 57 percent of the team's 109 points from last season.
