Memphis Women's Soccer Enters Top-25 Rankings

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis women’s soccer team cracked the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) top 25 poll on Tuesday as the association announced that the Lady Tiger soccer program is ranked 25th nationally.
Receiving votes in the preseason poll, Memphis appears in the top-25 after starting the season 2-0-0. The U of M earned 3-1 victories over LSU and UALR at Mike Rose Soccer Complex last weekend. Six different players recorded the six goals for Memphis.
Last season, Memphis entered the NSCAA top-25 in week one of the season at the 23rd spot. The Lady Tigers climbed to the 13th spot in Soccer America’s top-25 poll marking the highest ranking in program history.
The 25th-ranked Lady Tigers begin a three-game road swing on Friday at Alabama. Match time is set for 7 p.m. in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
