Memphis Enters Top-15 in National Polls

Memphis, Tenn. - University of Memphis women's soccer continues to climb in national polls as announced by various organizations Tuesday, marking the first time that Memphis has been ranked in all three polls during one week. Memphis climbed to 13th in Soccer America's weekly top-25 on Monday. The Lady Tigers previous highest ranking in Soccer America's top-25 was 17th after winning its third-straight Conference USA Championship in 2009. Ranked 23rd in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) top-25 poll last week, Memphis climbed to 15th in the NSCAA poll released on Tuesday after a 1-0 victory over LSU on Saturday. The U of M also entered the Soccer Times top-25 poll at No. 21 on Tuesday. The nationally ranked Lady Tigers return to action on Friday as they face 20th ranked Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Okla. Match time is set for 7 p.m. at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex.
