EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The Memphis women's soccer team looks to break its recent string of dissapointing matches and turn some heads when it heads toEvansville, Ind., to take on the Evansville Aces at Black Beauty Field on Friday night.

The Lady Tigers are coming off two tough outings: a one-goal loss at Missouri and a double-overtime tie against Soutwest Missouri last Sunday. So far this season, Lady Luck and the Lady Tigers have not seen eye to eye. A Memphis defender inadvertently scored on her own goal to tie Sunday's double-overtime game and they will need their luck to change for a chance to win on Friday.

The Aces head into Friday's game without having let up a goal in their first two matches. Evansville posted a 2-0 win over Ohio in its season opener and blew out Tennessee-Martin 7-0 last time out. The Aces are coming off their fifth-consecutive Missouri Valley Conference Championship and are currently ranked by CollegeSoccer.com as the No. 9 team in the Great Lakes Region.

After Friday's contest, the Lady Tigers return home to take on UT-Martin at Echles Field at 5 p.m. on Sunday.
