EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The University of Memphis women's soccer team will have to wait until 9 a.m. tomorrow to take on the Evansville Aces in Evansville, Ind.

Officials ruled that lightning in the area would jeopardize the safety of both fans and players and the game was postponed before either team could even take the field for warmups.

Memphis is currently 0-1-1 and looking for its first win of the season, while Evansville is looking to improve to 3-0, which would mark the Aces' best start in school history.

Memphis will return home immediately following Saturday's contest for a 5 p.m. tilt with UT-Martin at Echles field on Sunday.
