MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis women's soccer team beat the Ole Miss Rebels with a game winning goal by junior Kylie Hayes, with twenty seconds left in the match Friday night. Riding the momentum of that emotional win, the Lady Tigers will host the Bulldogs of Mississippi State on Sunday, Sept. 23, at 1 p.m., at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex.

Memphis is on a three game winning streak and a 1-0 win, against Ole Miss. Hayes came into the match with just 1:20 seconds to go on the clock, for injured teammate freshman Melissa Smith. The game winning goal by Hayes was her second goal of the season, her 5th career game winner and the 28th goal of her career. Hayes is in the top five of every major career record category for the Lady Tigers including, points, goals and assists.

Mississippi State is on a one game winning streak. Last year, Memphis beat the Bulldogs 2-0 on the road. The Lady Tigers and Bulldogs have an even history having won five games a piece in addition to two ties.
