Memphis, Tenn. - After concluding a five-game home stand by splitting a pair of Conference-USA matches this past weekend, the University of Memphis women's soccer team (4-2-1, 1-1-0) will embark on a seve-game road trip beginning with a pair of league tilts this coming weekend. The Lady Tigers will face Louisville (2-4-1, 0-1-1) on Friday at 7 p.m., then take Saturday off before traveling to Charlotte to take on the 17th-ranked 49ers Sunday at 1 p.m.

Memphis takes a four-game winning streak against the Cardinals into its match with Louisville. The Lady Tigers hold a 4-1 all-time record against the Kentucky school and have outscored the Cardinals 16-4 in those five matches. However, their success has not been the same against Charlotte, who has beaten the Lady Tigers in all seven meetings including a 2-0 victory last season.

The Lady Tigers dropped their C-USA opener to Saint Louis 4-0, but rebounded to notch a 3-2 victory over East Carolina. Forwards Kirsty Marr and Anna Thorsdottir along with midfielder Mary Shelton each scored their first goals of the season in the victory. Senior Alison Baker leads the team with 10 points and four goals. Marr leads the team with three assists.

Charlotte will be the first ranked opponent the Lady Tigers have faced this season. Memphis will take a three-match break from conference action starting next Friday, Oct. 4, when Memphis takes on UT-Martin.
