Lady Tigers Host C-USA Weekend
Memphis women's soccer will try to steer out of a three-game losing streak and improve on its 0-2 Conference USA record when the Lady Tigers play host to DePaul and Cincinnati this weekend.
The Lady Tigers' recent slide has come in the form of consecutive C-USA losses at the hands of 2000 conference runner-up St. Louis, 2-0, and defending C-USA champ Marquette, 3-2. Memphis returned home for a contest with intrastate rival Vanderbilt on Wednesday night only to suffer a heart-breaking 2-1 loss to the Commodores. Friday night, the Lady Tigers take on DePaul at Echles Field at 7 p.m. Last season, the Lady Tigers carried a two-game conference losing streak into their match with DePaul as well. The Lady Tigers dominated that contest from start to finish, amassing 21 shots to DePaul's two and shutting out the Blue Demons 2-0.
Sunday night, the Lady Tigers are featured in the front-end of a Tigers soccer doubleheader at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex when they take on Cincinnati at 2 p.m. Unlike their history against the Blue Demons, the Lady Tigers have been unable to figure out the Bearcats. Memphis is 0-7 all-time vs. Cincinnati.
