Memphis, Tenn. - The University of Memphis women's soccer team will take a break from Conference-USA action with a trio of non-league games starting Friday against UT-Martin at Skyhawk Soccer Field in Martin. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m., and the match will be the third meeting between the two schools.

The Lady Tigers will look to return to the win column after pair of shutout losses suffered last weekend to C-USA foes Louisville and No. 17 Charlotte.

Memphis (4-4-1, 1-3-0 C-USA) leads the all-time series with the Skyhawks (5-2-2, 1-0-0) 2-0 after posting a pair of shut outs in 1998 and in last year's match. The Lady Tigers have outscored their state neighbors to the northeast 12-0 in those two matches including a 9-0 blanking in the '98 match and their 3-0 victory at Echels Field last season.

The Lady Tigers continue their road swing with a trip to Cape Girardeau, Mo., on Monday to face Southeast Missouri State in a match set for 7 p.m. This will be the first meeting between the Lady Tigers and Otahkians, who are the second-consecutive team from the Ohio Valley Conference that Memphis will face.

The Lady Tigers have a 4-2 all-time record against OVC teams. Memphis will return to C-USA action next Sunday, Oct. 13, against South Florida, after playing at Nebraska Friday, Oct. 11.
