Colorado Springs, Colo - The 6-3-1 Memphis women's soccer team heads to Colorado Springs, Colo. Sunday to take on 8-3-1 Colorado College at 1:00 p.m. (CST).

"Colorado College will be another good game," said head coach Brooks Monaghan. "They are a technical and tactical team and they are very similar to us."

Both Memphis and Colorado College split last weekend's conference games and both teams won Friday night contests. Memphis is coming off a 2-1 victory over UTEP in El. Paso and Colorado College boasts a 4-0 route of UAB at home on Friday.

Both teams stand at 2-1-0 in C-USA play. Whoever wins the contest will drop the opposing team out of a tie for second place in the conference standings. The win will however not come easy for either team as both teams play similar styles and both only have three blemishes on the year.

"They play really good soccer," Monaghan added. "They usually play the same system we do and I think it is going to be a very good soccer game."

The Lady Tigers return home to Mike Rose Soccer Complex next weekend for another pair of C-USA contests. On Friday, Oct. 10 Memphis faces off against the Houston Cougars at 7:00 p.m. which is also U of M Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night. The contest on Sunday, Oct 12 at 12:00 p.m. against the Rice Owls is "Pack the House" day at Mike Rose Soccer Complex and will be televised on CBS College Sports.
