MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis women's soccer team heads to the Lone Star state, for two Conference USA matches. They will take on the University of Houston, Friday, October 12, at 7 p.m. and Rice, October 14 at 1 p.m.

Houston is currently 4-5-1 and 0-1, in C-USA play. The last time the two teams met, Memphis won with a final score of 3-0.

Rice is currently, 1-0, against C-USA opponents. They beat Houston, 2-0, at home last Friday. Last time out, the Lady Tigers beat the Owls 4-3, at home last year.

The Lady Tigers are on a hot streak as they are on a six game winning streak, which is also a school record and are ranked No. 8 in the NSCAA Central Region Rankings. This is the third time Memphis has been ranked this season.

Memphis is coming off a 2-1 overtime win against UAB. Kylie Hayes scored the game winning shot, seven minutes into overtime.

Memphis is off to its best start in school history 8-2 and will look to improve on it over the course of the weekend as they continue C-USA play.
