IRVING, Texas - Sophomore forward Christabel Oduro notched game-winning goals in each of Memphis' victories last weekend and with that effort earns Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week accolades, as announced by the league office Monday.

"I think Christabel is continuing to improve every weekend," head coach Brooks Monaghan said. "The sky is the limit with Christabel, but we are not satisfied with where she is right now. She is only a sophomore and hopefully she continues to improve as a player. As she improves, she is going to make the team that much better."

Oduro tallied two goals on the weekend, both game-winners as Memphis extended its unbeaten streak to 16 matches with wins over UTEP and Colorado College last weekend. Oduro got the Lady Tigers on the board in the 21st minute of the match against UTEP on Friday, logging 87 minutes against the Miners. On Sunday, Oduro came through in the second half with her fourth game-winner on the year to help Memphis edge a solid Colorado College squad 2-1. The Brampton, Ontario, native leads the squad with eight goals on the season and has a team-high 19 points.

The weekly accolade marks the second weekly honor of the season for Oduro and she becomes the first Lady Tiger to receive two C-USA Offensive Player of the Week honors in the same season. The weekly accolade is the sixth of the season for the U of M, the most in any season.

No. 8 Memphis (15-0-1) will look to clinch at least a share of the C-USA regular season championship on Friday with a 4 p.m. match-up against Southern Miss.
