IRVING, Texas – Senior defender Bailey Pembroke and redshirt-sophomore defender Kelley Gravlin earned spots on the Conference USA All-Academic Team, the league office announced Wednesday.

Pembroke, a first team selection, carries a 4.0 grade-point average in marketing management. The Flower Mound, Texas native has played in all 18 matches and she is a three-time recipient of the C-USA Commissioner’s Academic Medal. One of three captains, Pembroke is a six-time member of the Tiger Academic 30, a select group of the U of M’s top student-athletes.

Gravlin was named to the second team and she sports a 3.91 grade-point average in mechanical engineering. The Saint Charles, Missouri native played in 13 matches before an injury ended her season. One of three captains on the squad, Gravlin received the C-USA Commissioner’s Academic Medal last season and is a two-time honoree on the Dean’s List.

Memphis plays UCF in the opening round of the C-USA Tournament on today at UTEP. Kickoff is slated for 8 p.m. (CT) at University Field.
