MEMPHIS - Senior Shoko Mikami was named to the Conference USA Women's Soccer All-Academic team as announced by the league office Wednesday. Teammates Kate Murphy and Melissa Savage were both named to the honorable mention group.

Mikami, the 2005 C-USA Offensive Player of the Year and a two-time first team All-C-USA selection, has a 3.64 grade-point-average. The Chiba, Japan native graduated this summer with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and is now perusing her second undergraduate degree in Anthropology.

Murphy was recently named second team All-C-USA. The junior back was an anchor in the Memphis defense this season and was named to the 2006 Nike Lady Tiger Fall Tournament Team.

The Anchorage, Alaska native is a business major with a perfect 4.0 GPA through two semesters and has been named to the Tiger Academic 30 and the Dean's List twice. She was also a recipient of the 2006 C-USA Commissioner's Medal and a member of the C-USA Honor Roll.

Midfielder Melissa Savage was also named honorable mention. The senior has a 3.75 in GPA in business. She has been named to the Tiger Academic 30 four times and has been a member of the Tiger 3.0 Club for six consecutive semesters. The Texas native has also been named to the C-USA Honor Roll and been a recipient of the C-USA Commissioner's Medal.
