Amrozowicz Named To C-USA All Freshman Team
Nov. 3, 1999
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Conference USA announced its women's soccer conference honors yesterday, and one Lady Tiger soccer player was recognized. Freshman forward Becca Amrozowicz was named to the All Freshman squad after having a breakout first season with the University of Memphis. Amrozowicz, a true freshman from Strongsville, Ohio, was second on the team in scoring this year with six goals and twelve points on the season. She was also second on the team in shots taken, with 31, and had a shooting percentage of .194. Amrozowicz scored a game-winning goal against Toledo in overtime in only her second game as a Lady Tiger. She was one of five freshman on a young team that saw considerable playing time, and a sixth freshman missed the entire season with a foot injury. The Lady Tigers only lose two seniors, but both are starters and will leave a considerable void to be filled next season.
