MEMPHIS, Tenn. - With four goals and an assist in two matches at the American Athletic Conference Tournament, freshman striker Valerie Sanderson and senior striker Christabel Oduro netted national recognition on Tuesday.

Sanderson netted Disney/NSCAA and TopDrawerSoccer.com National Player of the Week honors, scoring the equalizer and golden goal in the Lady Tigers 2-1 double-overtime upset of Louisville on Sunday. The Boisbriand, Quebec native also scored twice and added an assist in the 6-0 win over Houston. With the four goals and assist on the weekend, Sanderson now holds the program record for goals and points by a freshman. 

Oduro was tabbed the CollegeSportsMadness.com National Player of the Week. Oduro scored four goals, all in a span of seven minutes, in the 6-0 win over Houston. The Brampton, Ontario native scored her first two goals 34 seconds apart and added another two goals 1:14 apart. She completed her second career nine point game with an assist to have nine points in a nine minute span.

Memphis travels to Orlando, Fla., for the semifinals of the American Athletic Conference Tournament. The Lady Tigers take on Rutgers at 6:30 p.m. (CT) on Friday.
