MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis women's soccer team had a duo of midfielders earn NSCAA honors. Emiko Schwab and Vendula Strnadova both earned NSCAA All-Central Region second team honors for the first time in their careers for their performance in the 2007 season.

This is Schwab's first honor from the NSCAA as she was a dominate figure in the midfield for the Lady Tigers this season. She also earned All-C-USA Championship team honors, as she helped to lead Memphis to its first championship title. Schwab had seven goals and five assists this season, with two gamewinners. She was the second leading point scorer for Memphis this season.

Strnadova who was also named to the second team is adding this honor to her awards list this year. The freshman was named C-USA Freshman of the Year and the only freshmen to be named to the All-C-USA first team this season. She had six goals and two assists this season, three gamewinners including the championship game-winning goal.
