KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced Wednesday that Kaitlyn Atkins and Kelley Gravlin of the University of Memphis women's soccer team are NSCAA Scholar All-South Region recipients.

Gravlin, a junior defender/midfielder, carries a 3.86 grade-point average in pre-mechanical engineering. Gravlin has appeared on the Dean's List all eight semesters at the U of M and is a three-time recipient of the C-USA Academic Medal. Gravlin started in 17 of 20 matches and scored one goal while chipping in with two assists.

Atkins, a junior forward, sports a 3.63 grade-point average as she majors in Teaching All Learners. Atkins set the single-season record with 16 assists in 2013. A three-time member of the Dean's List, Atkins also scored a goal for the U of M this season.
