Craig Pluta is in his first season with the Tiger strength and conditioning department. Prior to joining the staff, Pluta worked in the University of Missouri's strength and conditioning department, where he primarily worked with the football, and track and field teams. Prior to Missouri, Pluta spent time at Youngstown State University in 2010, where he worked with the football, women's softball, track and field, and cheerleading teams.
A native of Philadelphia, Pa., Pluta earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Slippery Rock University in 2010. Pluta is a competitive powerlifter in the 308 weight class and holds Pennsylvania state powerlifting records in both squat and deadlift. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
