KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The University of Memphis softball team suffered an 11-0 six-inning loss to No. 17/19 Louisville on Saturday night in the Tennessee Classic. Cardinals' pitcher Caralisa Connell no-hit the Tigers as the U of M managed just one hit in two games on the day.

Memphis left four runners on base as Connell walked three and struck out three to improve to 4-0 on the season. Louisville remains undefeated on the season with the victory, improving to 14-0, while Memphis falls to 4-14 on the year.

The Cardinals scored 11 runs on seven extra base hits, including two triples and three home runs. Louisville took a 2-0 lead in the top of the third on a two-run homer by Katie Keller. The Cards then scored four more runs in the fifth and five in the sixth, tallying 13 hits in the game.

Sophomore Ellen Roberts (2-5) suffered the loss in the circle for Memphis. Roberts allowed five runs on seven hits in four and a third innings of work. Freshman Sara Pearson and junior Carly Hummel also came in for the Tigers in relief.

Memphis will close out the tournament at Lee Stadium on Sunday morning against Boston University at 9 a.m. (ET).
