STARKVILLE, Miss. - Inclement weather cancelled the University of Memphis' opening game in the Bulldog Classic at Mississippi State on Friday.

The tournament will resume on Saturday as planned with Memphis (12-3) playing No. 22 Texas A&M at 10 a.m. followed by Mississippi Valley State at noon. The Tigers will close out the tournament on Sunday against Mississippi State at 1 p.m.

Texas A&M defeated Mississippi Valley State in a rain shortened opening game of the tournament, 7-2 in six innings.
