ORLANDO, Fla. - Inclement weather canceled the opening game of a three-game series with UCF on Friday night at the UCF Softball Complex.

The two teams will play a doubleheader on Sunday at 12 and 2 p.m. (EST) to open both schools Conference USA schedule. The third game of the series will not be made up.

Memphis (10-7) and UCF (13-9) sat out a one and a half hour rain delay after an original start of 5:30 p.m. was pushed back. Rain has been plaguing the Orlando area for the past two days, but is expected to clear out over the night.

The Tigers are 8-4 in their last 12 games with five of their seven losses coming in one-run games. Memphis is 2-5 this season in one-run games. UCF has won eight of its last nine contests, but is 1-11 in its C-USA opening weekend.
