Memphis-Houston Game Notes
March 29, 2008
Memphis is still looking for its first victory against a nationally ranked opponent. The Tigers are now 0-10 all-time against top 25 teams. Kimmi Hayden threw out her seventh steal attempt of the season in the second inning when Katie Bush attempted to take second. Tori Gross hit a line drive the opposite way to right field in the third inning that looked to be going over the fielder's head. But Laurie Wagner made a spectacular catch leaping just in front of the warning catch to make the putout. Houston's Angel Shamblin pitched a five-inning perfect game against Memphis. It is the second time the Tigers have been no hit and the first perfect game against the U of M. No. 22 Florida State no hit Memphis last season.
