• Kimmi Hayden increased her hitting streak to four games with a single in the second.

• Kailey Kassner knocked in her 12th RBI of the season in the second inning to score Kimmi Hayden. The run is Hayden's 16th of the season.

• Leila Dolfo scored her team-leading 27th run of the season in the third inning.

• Tori Gross hit her second home run of the season in the fourth inning to score three runs. She now has 10 RBI on the year and eight runs scored. The homer also scored Maddie McKinley's second run of the season and Kailey Kassner's 10th.

• Maddie McKinley's run was the game-winner. It is the first of her career and Tori Gross' second game-winning RBI of the year.

• Leila Dolfo knocked in her team-leading 26th RBI of the season on a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning to score Sarah Schneider. It is Schneider's seventh run of the season.

• Rayna McClinton struck out a Memphis season high 11 batters in the game, which ranks in a tie for fourth in the school's history. McClinton is the first pitcher to strike out at least 10 batters since Jenna Kubesch's 12 K's against East Carolina on May 10, 2007.

• With four hits allowed, it marks the third consecutive start McClinton has allowed four hits or less. The seven innings pitched are a career high for McClinton.

• Rayna McClinton struck out the side in the fourth inning. The last Memphis pitcher to strike out the side was Kimber Bossom against Furman on March 16.

• This is only the fourth victory for Memphis this year when the opponent scores the first run. The Tigers are now 4-15 in those situations.

• Memphis is now 12-1 when leading after five innings.

• The Tigers are now 16-4 when out hitting their opponent.

• Memphis is now 5-2 all-time against UTEP and has won all four games against the Miners at home.
