Memphis Contest at UT Martin Cancelled

MARTIN, Tenn. - The University of Memphis softball team's game tonight at The University of Tennessee at Martin has been cancelled due to the heavy rain and storms that have plagued the state the last three days. The inclement weather ends the Tigers' final regular season midweek contest. Memphis (31-10, 11-6 C-USA) has six Conference USA games remaining before the C-USA Championship in Greenville, N.C., from May 12-14. The Tigers will host UAB this weekend and play a three-game series at Southern Miss from May 7-8. The Tigers will play their final home games of the season on Saturday and Sunday in a three-game series with UAB. The Blazers are tied for second in the conference with a 33-15 record and 13-5 in league play. Saturday's doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. is free to the public. Memphis and UAB conclude the series on Sunday with a 1 p.m. start. A program high seven seniors will be honored prior to the start of Sunday's game.
