• Memphis earned a Conference USA Tournament spot for the first time after finishing a half a game out last season.

• The win brings the Memphis winning streak to a program best seven games.

• Jenna Kubesch struck out 10 in the game. It is her sixth 10+ K game this season and eighth of her career.

• The victory is the fourth 2-1 win in a row for Memphis and sixth in seven games. The Tigers have won all seven games in its winning streak by one run. The last eight U of M games have been decided by a run. Memphis is now 13-6 in one-run games.

• Memphis is now 28-3 when scoring the first run of the game and 32-4 when out hitting the opponent.

• Senior Christi Morrison scored her fourth game-winning run of the season and eighth overall run in the sixth inning.

• Senior Lindsey Pridgen knocked in her second game-winning RBI of the season in the sixth inning. It is her 15th RBI of the season.

• Bridgette McNulty hit her eighth homer of the year in the sixth to give Memphis the first run of the game. She now has 32 RBI and is tied for the team lead in runs scored with 34.
