• Memphis has made two errors or more in eight of the last nine games. The Tigers are now 1-7 in those games.

• The Tigers are now 5-14 this season when the opponent scores in the first inning and 7-23 when the opponent scores first.

• Freshman Kailey Kassner hit her sixth home run of the season in the top of the second. The dinger to center field tied the game at one. The hit scored her 16th RBI and 16th run of the season.

• Junior Leandra Hines stole her team leading 17th stolen base of the year. The 17 stolen bases in a season is a career high for Hines and ranks second all-time in Memphis history. Cara Stiles holds the record with 19 in 2006.

• Junior Tori Gross tied the game in the top of the third inning on a single to right center to score Leandra Hines. The RBI is the 19th of the season for Gross and the run is Hines' 21st.

Tori Gross stole her fifth base of the season in the third inning.

• Sophomore Leigh Rowan hit her sixth home run of the season in the top of the third inning. The three-run shot gave the Tigers its first lead in the game. Rowan now has 21 RBI and 15 runs scored. The homer also scored Lindsay Kelso and Tori Gross.

• With the two home runs, the Tigers match its program homer record with 47 equaling its mark from last season. Memphis hit the homers in seven fewer games from last year.

• With a single and a homer, Leigh Rowan had her sixth multi-hit game of the year. She also had her sixth multi-RBI game with three, marking the third time she has knocked in three or more runs this year.

 

 

• Senior Lindsay Kelso gave Memphis its second lead in the top of the fourth inning. Kelso scored Brittany Gooch from third on an infield single to second base. It is her 28th RBI and Gooch's 12 run scored of the year.

• Freshman Kailey Kassner knocked in her second run of the game in the fourth inning on a single to right center to score Leila Dolfo. It is her 17th RBI and Dolfo's team-leading 36th run of the year.

• With the home run and single, Kailey Kassner had sixth multi-hit game and the two RBI marks her fourth multi-RBI game.

• Junior Tori Gross hit her eighth double of the season to right center in the top of the fifth inning. With a single and a double in the game, Gross had her ninth multi-hit game of the year.

• Memphis is now 15-1 when scoring six runs or more this season. The only loss came in a 12-11 defeat to East Carolina.

• Junior Brittany Gooch had her second multi-hit game of the year with two singles.

• The 14 hits is the eighth time this season Memphis has reached the 10 hit mark. The season high is 18 against Alabama A&M.

Brittany Gooch stole her ninth base of the season in the sixth inning. The three stolen bases in the game for Memphis are the most since stealing three against Alcorn State on April 15.

• Memphis is now 18-2 this season when leading after five innings. The last loss for the Tigers when leading through five came against East Carolina on April 26 in a 12-11 loss.

• With a single in the top of the seventh inning, Leigh Rowan had her second three-hit game of the year. Rowan went 3-for-4 in the game.

Sara Schneider scored the Tigers' eighth run in the game on a throwing error in the top of the seventh inning as a pinch runner after a hit by Maddie McKinley. It is Schneider's 10th run of the year.

• Eight of nine Memphis starters recorded hits in the game and eight different players scored runs.

• The win snapped an eight-game losing streak for Memphis, which tied a program record.

• The Tigers are now 2-0 in the opening game of the C-USA Championship.

Kimber Bossom improves to 11-15 and matched her career high with eight strikeouts. She allowed four earned runs on six hits with three walks.
