@MemphisSoftball Sweeps Doubleheader Against Christian Brothers

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis softball team swept a doubleheader against Christian Brothers on Friday night at Tiger Softball Complex. Memphis won game one 9-2, and took game two 12-1.
In game one, Ellen Roberts started in the circle and pitched four scoreless innings. Roberts has pitched 25 scoreless innings so far this fall.
Calli Irvin pitched the final three innings, allowing two runs on three hits.
Six Tigers had multi-hit games in Friday's opener. Haleigh Ross led the team with three hits and also added one RBI. Brittany Vaughn, Breslin Perry, Roberts, Lindsie Knowles and Anna Thomas each had two hits. Freshman outfielder Lindsay Crowdus added two RBI.
In Friday's nightcap, Cierra Magnum led Memphis offensively. The sophomore went 3-for-4 and added three RBI. Crowdus and Hannah Harrel also had multi-hit performances, with Crowdus finishing 3-4 and Harrell hitting 2-4 with two RBI.
Memphis concludes the fall season as hosts of a three-team tournament this Sunday at Tiger Softball Complex. The tournament starts on Sunday at noon, when Rhodes College faces Harding. The Tigers face Harding at 2 p.m. CT and then take on Rhodes College at 4 p.m. CT. Admission is FREE for all fans.
