HONOLULU, Hawai'i - The University of Memphis softball team arrived in Hawai'i on Monday after taking an early flight from El Paso, Texas. Upon their arrival in Honolulu, the Tigers were greeted by an island native and presented with a lei around each of the traveling party's head.

The Tigers are in Hawai'i to compete in the Chevron Spring Fling Tournament hosted by the University of Hawai'i.

On Tuesday, Memphis had a chance to enjoy the Waikiki Beach, located right behind the team's hotel. The team also visited North Beach where the larger ocean waves are located.

From North Beach, the Tigers visited the Dole Pineapple Plantation. The team ended the day enjoying the sunset on the beach at the hotel.

Memphis began the Chevron Spring Fling Tournament on Wednesday and went 1-1 on the day with a 1-0 loss to No. 9/11 Cal and a 5-1 victory over Utah. Memphis will play six games in the tournament and arrive back in Memphis on Monday.
