Memphis Softball Hawaiian Adventure - Part Five
March 17, 2009
HONOLULU, Hawai'i - The University of Memphis softball team returned to the mainland on Monday after spending the week in Hawai'i for the Chevron Spring Fling Tournament. Before leaving, the team had all day Sunday to enjoy one last hoorah in the tropical paradise. Most of the players spent the day on the beach. A few of the staff members hiked up to Manoa Falls, a tropical rainforest on the outer edge of the city. As the team waited for the bus to take them to the airport on Sunday night, senior Leila Dolfo, whose parents are both Hawaiian, performed a native hula dance. The dance brought a little rain fall, followed by a double rainbow over the hotel. Dolfo and her mother then danced together beneath the rainbow in an encore performance.
