CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - The University of Memphis softball team will compete in its final two road tests of the season when the team takes on doubleheaders against two Ohio Valley Conference teams on Tuesday and Wednesday. Memphis will play Southeast Missouri on Tuesday at the SE Softball Complex beginning at 3 p.m. and then face Austin Peay the next day beginning at 3 p.m. at Lady Govs Field.

Memphis enters the week looking to snap a four-game losing streak after being swept at Marshall. The Tigers are 27-21 on the season, but have lost only two midweek games all year. The U of M suffered midweek losses to No. 1 Tennessee and Tennessee State.

The Tigers will meet Southeast Missouri for the second time this season and third meeting overall. Memphis beat the RedHawks 2-1 in the Blues City Classic hosted by the Tigers in February. SEMO (15-25) opened its season in the tournament, placing third. Memphis holds a 2-1 advantage over SEMO.

Austin Peay has a 23-23 overall record and are 9-11 in the Ohio Valley Conference. Memphis split a doubleheader with the Lady Govs in Southaven, Miss., last season.

After the four midweek games, Memphis will host a three-game conference series with UAB beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the UM Softball Complex. The Tigers have six more home games with five conference tournament slots still available.
