2009 Fall Memphis Softball Clinics

University of Memphis head softball coach Windy Thees and her staff will host six Monday/Wednesday Night Clinics beginning Monday, September 21, and running into October.

The staff will host three Monday night hitting clinics and three Wednesday night pitcher/catcher clinics for middle school to high school senior age groups. Each clinic is $40, or campers can sign up for all three for $90. A package for all six sessions combining both the hitting and pitcher/catcher clinics is $150.

The clinics will be held at the Tiger Softball Complex located at the U of M Park Avenue Campus. Each clinic will last an hour with check in time at 5 p.m. and the camp beginning at 5. Walk-ups will be accepted.

When:            Mondays : September 21, September 28, and October 5

Location:        5:30-6:30pm @ University of Memphis Softball Stadium

Cost:              $40/night or $90 if you sign up for all 3

In three sessions, your hitters will learn the basics of proper swing mechanics and a positive mental approach to hitting.  We will also go over how to hit certain types of pitches, and how to bring out the best hitter in your athletes.

When:            Wednesdays: September 23, September 30, and October 7

Location:         5:30-6:30pm @ University of Memphis Softball Stadium

Cost:               $40/night or $90 if you sign up for all 3

In three sessions, your pitchers will learn how to improve their pitches and velocity.  We will also go over a positive mental approach to pitching.  The catchers will be learning the proper techniques in receiving, blocking, and throwing.
