MEMPHIS - The University of Memphis softball team will play four exhibition games this weekend beginning with a fall tournament at Rhodes College on Saturday.

The Tigers will play Rhodes College at 10 a.m. and Arkansas State's club team at noon on Saturday at the Rhodes College Softball Field. Memphis will then travel to Cape Girardeau for a doubleheader against Southeast Missouri on Sunday beginning at 2 p.m.

Memphis is in the middle of its fall practice schedule that includes seven competitive exhibition dates. The Tigers opened up the schedule with a doubleheader split against Central Arkansas on September 14 with both games decided by a run.

The U of M will play at home for three dates next week beginning with a night game against Ole Miss on Wednesday, October 2, at 7 p.m. The Tigers then makeup a weather postponed game with Christian Brothers on Friday, October 6, at 4 p.m. and then host a tournament with Harding and Rhodes College on Sunday, October 7.

The Tigers return 14 letterwinners from the 2013 season and are joined by seven freshmen.
