Eye of the Tiger is back and this time you get a chance to go behind the scenes of a women's tennis team practice as they take to the courts at the Racquet Club of Memphis.
Spring 2014: Named to the American Athletic Conference All-Conference Team ... Led the Lady Tigers in singles wins on the season and in dual play with a 25-10 overall record and a 15-2 spring mark ... Went 19-13 in doubles with an 9-8 record in dual play ... Named the conference women's tennis player of the week on Jan. 28 after defeating North Carolina's No. 118 Ashley Dai, 7-6, 6-1 ... Clinched Memphis' upset win over No. 26 Pepperdine with a 7-6, 6-7, 6-3 victory at No. 4 over Michaela Capannolo ... Also clinched matches against VCU and SMU ... Had a nine-match winning streak from mid-February through late March ... Posted a 4-0 record against conference opponents and had a 2-0 mark in the conference tournament ... Teamed up with Stefanie Mikesz in doubles through much of the season ... Had a six-match winning streak at the beginning of the season.
Fall 2013: Went 8-7 in singles and 8-4 in doubles ... Appeared in the round of 16 at the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional after pulling off a 6-3, 1-6, 6-0 win over Kentucky's No. 55 Kelsey Dieters ... Advanced to the quarterfinals in doubles with Mikesz at the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional ... Was one win shy from advancing to the main draw at the Amelia Island 10k ... Advanced to the doubles final at the Dick Vitale Clay Court Classic with partner Stefanie Mikesz ... The duo upset Mississippi State's No. 48 team of Alexandra Perper and Naomi Tran, 8-7 (4).
