Ares was ranked the No. 1 junior in ACT Junior tennis and was ranked in the top 25 as a sub-junior player in Australia...Competed on the Pizzey Cup team in 2000-2001...Most recently, Ares finished as the runner-up at the Sunsmart ACT Junior Championships and then lost in the consolation semifinals at the Shell Age Championships...A dual citizen of Australia and Spain, Ares was named the Junior Female Player of the Year for Tennis ACT (Australian Capital Territory) and the Squad Athlete of the Year at the ACT Academy of Sport...Also received four Certificates of Academic Excellence at MacKillop Catholic College and has served as a Peer Support Leader at MacKillop... Coached by Mark Wilkinson at the Hawker Tennis Centre...Has also volunteered for a number of occasions, including volunteering for the player services department at the Women's Canberra International and for the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal in Canberra...She has also served as an umpire at the NSW Shell Age Championships and as a Ballgirl for the 1998 Federation Cup.
