Two Memphs Doubles Teams and Five Singles Advance in Main Draw

Spring 2011: Went 13-11 overall in singles matches playing at the No. 5 and 6 positions...Also posted a 2-3 singles mark in C-USA play...Teamed up with Stefanie Mikesz to tally a 12-6 overall doubles mark and a 3-2 record in league play...Played one doubles match with Courtney Collins (0-1) and six with Kathleen Hawkins (3-3)...Won seven-straight doubles matches at one point in the season playing with Mikesz...Notched a streak of four-straight singles wins over players from MTSU, Saint Louis, Tennessee State and USF...Bested No. 63 Auburn's Taylor Schreimann in three sets, 4-6, 6-4, 7-5...Recorded another three-set victory, 2-6, 6-1, 6-3, over No. 40 USF's Kate Parker.

Fall 2010: Opened sophomore season with a 1-2 record at the Memphis Invitational with losses to opponents from Abilene Christian and Arkansas State separated by a win over Belmont's Laura Stack who retired in the second set... Missed next few tournaments because of injury...Went 2-1 at the June Stewart Invitational in Nashville, Tenn., with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Carlina Jow and 7-5, 6-4 over Danielle Hansen, both from Lipscomb...Suffered only loss to Taylor Vick of Murray State 6-4, 6-0...Closed out season 0-4 at Midwest Blast in Illinois... Only doubles play took place at Midwest Blast teamed with Sarah Witkowski...Duo upended by Notre Dame tandem JoHanna Manningham and Britney Sanders, 8-3...Fell to Amy Allin and Chelcie Abajian of Illinois, 8-0.

Spring 2010: Finished the spring dual season with a 5-12 record at the No. 3, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 positions...Picked up victories over Arkansas Tech, Eastern Arizona College, North Carolina Central, Oral Roberts and Tennessee Tech...Had a 3-4 clip at the No. 5 position...Went 1-4 at the No. 6 singles slot...Teamed with Amanda Brown for a 3-14 doubles mark at the No. 2 and No. 3 slots...Duo picked up victories over Arkansas Tech, Austin Peay, Eastern Arizona College and UT Martin.

Fall 2009: Began the fall season going 0-3 at the Memphis Invitational...Lost to UT Martin's Anna Winkelmann, 6-1, 6-4...Fell to Samford's Emily Mallory, 6-1, 6-3...Lost match to Tulane's Caroline Gerber, 4-6, 6-3, 1-0...Compiled a 1-2 mark at the Hoosier Classic in Bloomington, Ind...Picked up first win of Memphis career over Mississippi State's Elizabeth Hall, 6-1, 7-5...Fell to two Kansas State opponents...Went 1-2 at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional in Cincinnati, Ohio...Picked up a win over Middle Tennessee's Natalie Araya, 1-6, 6-4, 6-4...Fell to foes from Xavier and Louisville...Wrapped up season going 0-3 at the Florida State Invitational...Lost matches to opponents from Furman and South Florida...In doubles, teamed with Marjorie Ondeck to go 1-1 at the Memphis Invitational...Duo picked up victory over Tulane's Jessica Lange and Sharon Siegel, 9-7...Ondeck and Arques-Garcia lost match to Samford's Stephanie Parkinson and Kristin Lewis, 9-7...Went 1-3 at the Hoosier Classic...Ondeck and Arques-Garcia defeated Kansas State's Carmen Borau Ramos and Ana Gomez Aleman, 8-4...Pair fell to foes from Indiana, LSU and Mississippi State...Duo went 1-1 at the Florida State Invitational...Picked up a win over Furman's Jenny Porter and Brooke Mosteller, 9-8...Lost a match to South Florida's Natalie Guevara and Jessica Zok, 8-4.

Prep: Was ranked No. 90 in Spain among all adult women's tennis players at the age of 18...At age 16, was ranked fourth in the Valencian region of Spain and was Top 20 for her age in all of Spain...Also started competing in a lot of national tournaments across Spain at age 16...At 14, was ranked No. 2 for her age bracket in the Valencian region and was Top 10 for her age in Spain.
