Fall 2002:

Went 8-3 in singles during the fall...Lost in the finals to teammate Sabrina Lindemann at the Saint Louis Invitational to open the fall season...Went 2-0 in singles play at the SIU Tournament...Won the No. 2 singles title at the Varsity Pro Shop/U of M Invite over Marina Tasheva from Tennessee Tech, 6-4, 6-2...Qualified for main draw of the ITA Southeast Regional...Won her opening match against Jennifer Jassawalla from North Carolina State, 7-5, 6-1, before falling to North Carolina's Aniela Mojzis, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2...Teamed with Lindemann again at No. 1 doubles, finishing with a 9-2 record...The duo became the first pair of Lady Tigers to ever be nationally-ranked when they were ranked No. 31 in the country to start the season...Won the doubles championship at Middle Tennessee in A Doubles over Cincinnati's Molony and Italia, 8-2...Also won the Varsity Pro Shop/U of M No. 1 doubles title over the Spencer/Leeper duo from Murray State, 9-7...Qualified for main draw doubles at the ITA Southeast Regional, downing Cibils and Tasheva from Tennessee Tech, 8-6, before falling to Bajrambasic and Matrka from Coastal Carolina, 8-3.

Spring 2002

: Was named third team All Conference USA after having one of the best springs in Lady Tiger history, going 13-1 in singles, including a 12-1 record at No. 2 singles, and teaming with Sabrina Lindemann to post a mark of 19-2 at No. 1 doubles...Has a 10-match win streak going prior to the end of the season before three unfinished matches during the C-USA Tournament.
Fall 2001:
: Had the best fall of any Lady Tiger posting a 12-4 singles record...Won the No. 2 singles title at the Varsity Tennis Shop/U of M Invite...Did not lose two consecutive matches in the fall...Lost in the championship of the A Flight singles at the Purple Aces Invite in Evansville...Made it to the quarterfinals of the C-USA Fall Championships and to the finals of the consolation bracket...Eliminated in the second round of the ITA Southeast Regional.

At Baylor:
Played two season for the Bears with outstanding results...As a sohpomore, won the Big 12 Position Championship at No. 3 doubles...Posted a 9-5 singles record and a 15-7 doubles record as a sophomore...As a freshman, was 13-8 in singles and 16-5 in doubles...Won two doubles titles -- C Flight of the Baylor Tennis Classic and the No. 2 Flight of the TCU Invitational.

Born Jan. 25, 1981...Daughter of Manolo and Maria Teresa...Transferred to Memphis after playing two seasons at Baylor...Was an outstanding junior player in Spain...National finalist in her home country in U-18 Doubles...Champion of Spain in U-16 Doubles, U-14 Doubles, U-12 Doubles and Singles...Member of Spain's national U-14 team playing #2 singles and doubles...Qualified for the World Tournament in Tokyo as a junior player...Enjoys biking, running and playing volleyball.
