The Memphis women's tennis team will welcome four teams to The Racquet Club of Memphis, Nov. 2-4, for the Memphis Invitational as Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Tulsa and Vanderbilt will be in attendance for the Lady Tigers' final home tournament of the 2012 fall season.
The Memphis Tiger Network caught up with head coach Lee Taylor Walker and a few players to see how the team has been preparing for the weekend.

Spring 2013: Awarded the ITA Ohio Valley Region Cissie Leary Award for Sportsmanship ... Ranked No. 8 in the region at the end of the season ... Named to the Conference USA Second Team Singles ... Went 21-7 in singles and 27-10 in doubles ... Her 27 wins in doubles ties for third best in single-season doubles wins at Memphis ... Won eight-straight singles matches from March to May ... Competed most of the season as the Lady Tigers' No. 2 singles player ... Clinched the win over Florida State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament with a 6-4, 6-1 victory over No. 83 Francesca Segarelli ... Beat her first ranked opponent of the season with a 6-7 (5), 6-3, 6-1 win over Arizona State's No. 111 Desirae Krawczyk ... Went 26-10 in doubles with partner Alyssa Hibberd ... Picked up wins over Saint Mary's No. 37 Catherine Isip and Elizabeth Searl, 8-4, and Notre Dame's No. 52 Julie Sabacinski and Britney Sanders, 8-5, at No. 2 ... Duo won 12-straight matches over a span of two months ... Clinched the doubles point over Florida State with an 8-5 win over Daneika Borthwick and Francesca Segarelli at No. 1 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Fall 2012: Ranked No. 115 in singles in the ITA preseason rankings and No. 31 in doubles with partner Alyssa Hibberd ... Finished the fall with an 8-3 singles record and an 8-5 mark in doubles ... Advanced to the quarterfinals at the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional with three-straight set wins over opponents from Louisville, East Tennessee State and Miami (OH) ... Advanced to the semifinals in doubles at the regional with Alyssa Hibberd with wins of 8-0, 8-1 and 8-3 ... Won the White Draw at the Memphis Invitational #2, going 3-0 with a 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory over Purdue's Mara Schmidt in the championship match ... Had a seven-match winning streak in doubles during the month of October.
Spring 2012: Named C-USA Newcomer of the Year after finishing the season with a 13-5 singles record and a 14-4 mark in doubles ... Named to the All-Conference USA Second Team Singles and Third Team Doubles with Alyssa Hibberd ... Finished the season No. 67 in doubles with Hibberd after reaching a career-best No. 28 on Feb. 28 ... Earned a three-set victory against No. 44 Maho Kowase of sixth-ranked Georgia, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2 ... Awarded C-USA Player of the Week honors on Apr. 10 after four wins in conference play, including a 6-2, 6-3 win over UAB's Paula Alvarez and a 6-3, 6-4 victory over USM's Elja van Berlo ... In doubles play, joined Hibberd in defeating Vanderbilt's No. 49 Alex Leatu and Jackie Wu.
Fall 2011: Saw her first action at the MT Shootout, winning her first match against Western Kentucky's Monta Reinfelde, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2, and defeating Yuiri Nomoto from Middle Tennessee, 6-2, 6-0 ... Went 3-0 in doubles with teammate Alyssa Hibberd ... Teamed up with Hibberd again to take the Blue Flight doubles title at the UTC Steve Baras Fall Classic ... Reached the semifinals of the singles Blue Flight ... Helped the Tigers achieve the program's best-ever showing at the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regionals, advancing to the Round of 16 in singles and reaching the main draw doubles championship match with Hibberd ... Posted four doubles victories en route to the title tilt, taking out two seeded teams ... Reached her fourth doubles final of the fall with Hibberd at the June Stewart Invite, posting wins over Lipscomb's Alyssa Bellini and Deahna Welcher, 8-1, and MTSU's Yuiri Nomoto and Flavia Nagayama, 8-4.
2010-11 (Alabama): Won the only match she played at the SEC Fall Coaches' Classic, beating Tennessee's Kayla McMurry 6-3, 6-3 ... Posted a 2-2 record at the Duke Fab Four Invitational ... Went 2-1 at the Roberta Alison Fall Classic ... Collected four victories at the Southern Regional Championships to advance to the consolation finals, winning two matches in three sets after dropping the opening set ... Teamed up with Meritt Emery to take down Vanderbilt's Nelly Radeva and Keilly Ulery 8-6 at the SEC Fall Coaches Classic ... The duo easily claimed their flight at the Roberta Alison Fall Classic, giving up no more than four games in any match ... Posted a 1-1 record at the Southern Regional Championships with Emery, falling to No. 27 Connor Vogel and Gabby Rangel of Mississippi.
2009-10: Did not compete during the 2009-10 season receiving a medical redshirt.
2008-09: Named to the All-SEC second team ... Member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll ... Notched 18 singles wins and 26 doubles wins ... The 26 doubles wins were tied for the most on the team with Paulina Bigos ... Won four-consecutive singles matches in the fall after opening the season with a loss ... Also won four-consecutive doubles matches with Bigos in the fall, including three at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championship ... Picked up two doubles wins in the fall over top-50 duos ... Ranked as high as No. 72 in singles and finished the spring season ranked No. 81 ... Played all of her singles matches at the No. 1 position, collecting three wins over nationally-ranked players ... Ranked No. 38 nationally in doubles with Courtney McLane ... Won her first seven doubles matches of the spring season ... Teamed up with McLane to defeat two nationally-ranked pairs in doubles ... 2007-08: All-SEC Freshman Team selection ... SEC Freshman of the Week honoree ... Played No. 1 singles for the Tide as a freshman ... Tied Meritt Emery with a team-high 17 singles victories ... Finished second on the team in doubles victories with 10 ... Picked up wins over two ranked opponents in No. 83 Sarah Woestmann of Kentucky and No. 56 Kelley Hyndman of Georgia at No. 1 singles ... Earned four-consecutive singles wins, good enough for second on the team in that category ... Earned the only Tide victory at the SEC Tournament with Emery at No. 2 doubles ...
