ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The University of Memphis women's tennis team (2-1, 1-0 C-USA) notched its second straight win with a 6-1 victory over C-USA foe Saint Louis in both team's conference opener, Sunday.

Senior Marlene Dirnstorfer remained perfect at No. 1 singles and doubles with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Amanda Hellberg and teamed with Viktoria Gruber to down Hellberg and Katerina Lozanova, 8-2. Lozanova avenged the No.1 doubles loss with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 win over Viktoria Gruber at No. 2 singles to post Saint Louis' only point of the match.

Sophomores Andrea Feichtinger and Kristin Noble each added win at No. 3 and 4 singles, respectively, while Feichtinger teamed with freshman Alex Tjioe to win 9-7 at No. 2 doubles.

Freshman Yesica Ares won her first collegiate career singles match with a 6-3, 6-0 decision over Lindsay Winninger at No. 5 singles, while Tjioe wrapped up the Lady Tigers' doubles victories with an 8-2 pro set win over Rebecca Steer at No. 6 singles.

The Lady Tigers will return home for a non-conference match with Tennessee Tech, Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m.
