MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis women's tennis team 1-6, 0-2 C-USA) battled cold and windy conditions and dropped their Conference USA home opener to Houston (9-3), 7-0, at Rhodes College, Friday.

Memphis will play another conference match Saturday morning at Rhodes when the Lady Tigers host Southern Miss, beginning at 11:30 a.m.
