NEW ORLEANS, La.-- - The University of Memphis women's tennis team (5-7, 1-0 C-USA) won the doubles point, but dropped four singles matches in a 4-1 loss to the University of Texas-El Paso in non-conference action, Sunday. Memphis took an early lead, 1-0, with wins at No. 1 and 2 doubles before UTEP answered back with singles victories in 2-5 to decide the match. Senior Marlene Dirnstorfer and freshman Christina Wieser did not get an opportunity to finish their matches before the Lady Tigers left for the drive back from New Orleans.
